Introducing M.Tech. in Transportation Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering is proud to offer a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Transportation Engineering, commencing from the academic year 2024–25.

Our department is distinguished by its highly qualified and motivated faculty, with members holding advanced degrees from premier institutions including IITs and NITs. Their expertise, dedication, and innovative teaching methods form the backbone of our academic excellence.

We have established state-of-the-art infrastructure, featuring well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, model rooms, and other essential academic facilities to ensure a comprehensive learning environment.

Welcome to the Department of Transportation Engineering!

It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to our newly launched M.Tech. program in Transportation Engineering, starting from the academic year 2024–25. Our department is committed to developing skilled professionals who can contribute to the future of transportation systems in India and around the world.

We have a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members who are passionate about teaching and research. Many of our faculty have studied at prestigious institutes like IITs and NITs, and they bring with them a deep understanding of both academics and industry practices.

Our department is equipped with modern classrooms, well-developed laboratories, and advanced software tools. We also focus on practical learning through industry visits, workshops, expert guest lectures, and hands-on training. These activities help students gain real-world experience and stay updated with the latest technologies in transportation and infrastructure.

We aim to provide a strong foundation in transportation planning, traffic engineering, pavement design, and sustainable mobility solutions. Our goal is to prepare students to become responsible engineers, researchers, and innovators in the field.

1.	Transportation Lab	The Transportation Engineering Laboratory is equipped with facilities for testing of Aggregates, Bitumen and Soil. The Laboratory is fully equipped for conduct of regular experiments at UG level and consultancy works. Various equipment available in the lab are, Los Angeles Abrasion testing machine.
