DTE Maharashtra Mandatory Refund Policy

As per DTE Maharashtra Circular No. DTE/2024/Refund/001 and AICTE Process Handbook 2024-25:

Hostel Fee Refund

Hostel fee refund policy:

  • Cancellation before room allotment: 100% refund (minus security deposit)
  • Vacating within 15 days: 75% refund
  • Vacating within 30 days: 50% refund
  • After 30 days: Monthly basis calculation

Non-Refundable Components (As per AICTE/DTE)

As mandated by regulatory authorities:

  • Admission Processing Fee: ₹1,000 (DTE Maharashtra guideline)
  • Development Fee: As per AICTE approved fee structure
  • University Registration Fee: RTMNU prescribed fee
  • Examination Fee: Once paid to RTMNU (non-refundable)
  • Eligibility Fee: RTMNU prescribed amount

Refund Process

To apply for a refund:

  1. Submit written application to the Accounts Office
  2. Attach original fee receipts
  3. Provide bank account details for refund transfer
  4. Processing time: 15-30 working days

DTE Maharashtra Special Refund Provisions

Exceptional cases as per DTE Maharashtra Circular and AICTE guidelines:

Medical Emergency Cases
  • Medical Board Certificate: Government hospital certification required
  • DTE Approval: Special permission from DTE Maharashtra
  • Refund Percentage: 75% of eligible fees
  • Processing Time: 45-60 working days
Migration Cases
  • Inter-State Transfer: To other AICTE approved institutions
  • DTE NOC Required: No Objection Certificate
  • Refund Percentage: 60% of tuition fee
  • Document Transfer: Academic records migration
Institutional Closure/Course Discontinuation
  • AICTE Withdrawal: If AICTE withdraws approval
  • DTE Action: If DTE cancels affiliation
  • Full Refund: 100% of all fees paid
